This is a world without magic, our world, or is it without magic?
for 10 thousand years an unknown force has been obstructing the use of magic, this Magic Barrier is approaching a turning point it may go down for the next ten thousand years or it may be reinstated, but either way there is a period of 3 years in which to decide while the barrier wanes. As it weakens those who are Auricly marked to choose arise, they are the first to rediscover the magic. But they are not the only ones, there are secret cabals who have practioned magic since the barrier went up, they know by route how to use magic it's just that the barrier prevented all but the most powerful of wills from producing any magical effects and even those powerful ones were only able to show low level magics. But as the barrier dissolves around the marked. These mages powers become immense. Magic only exists in the forms that I have listed in my poem below I may yet add some more verses to it as this poem is a continual WIP, I am eventually going to be able to decribe all magics within the poem but I'll go step by step.
The Sects...
Well the Marked ones are the 'Heroes' of the story, they are the ones on who destiny lays it's clammy hands upon, this can even be seen in their aura.
The Cabal, Are groups of power hungry Mages, their ownly goal is to restore magic so that they have gained complete power over the world.
The seekers are the remnants of the original Magi group, these are the ones dedicated to 'helping the Marked ones to master their powers' and 'Defend them from those who would enslave or kill them.'
The religious fanatics, well these are mostly from the Christen variants, Think witch hunters and you've got the right idea, Plus the more powerful of them have the ability to localise the Barrier, effectively Negating all magical effects nearby them.
Normal people, People who havn't any magical talent and havn't learned any of the magics, tis quite likely that the ordinary 'military' will be dragged into this at some point.
You may play as a marked one, a cabal mage, a seeker (a cabal thats only purpose is to help the marked ones(full name Seekers of Magic)), a religious fanatic (these guys are the ones who enforce the barrier physically, think Witch-Hunters Roman-Catholic church section XIII), or just an ordinary human shmuck (like some military guy).

Do you know just what you See,
That which is Or What might be,
Fire Burns and Coals do glow,
There is something you should Know,
Light and Electricity
Fall under Pyromancy.
Rain does fall and Rivers Flow,
Watch as the tide does go.
Healing is of Hydromancy,
When it's not Necromancy.
Earth doth Tremble Trees they grow,
so do rocks and gems you know,
Natures force Druidicy,
Is of Mighty Geomancy.
Air shall rise and Wind it Blows.
Like life it comes and goes.
both good and bad, it can be
Chaotic, shifting Aeromancy.
Like all things that comes to end,
the circle it begins again.

Fall under Necromancy.
From the Blood disease is born
In two ways it can be torn.
The shape-shifters bane,
Lycanthropy it's name.
Vampirism doth be the other,
Of which death is it's mother.
The Bloods power is great,
But dire is it's grisly fate.
If one can see what truly be,
Then one must feel Prophecy.
to those fools I feel pity,
For Will is lost to What May Be.
